There is a $300 non-refundable registration fee. It is due at the time of acceptance into Crossroads.
What do you teach during class?
Language Arts and Math will be taught in school. Science and Social Studies will be taught at home. We will provide curriculum for at-home learning.
Do I have to use your provided curriculum for Science and Social Studies?
No, you may use your own curriculum. We will provide you with the learning standards we are working on and you may choose your own activities. You will need to provide proof of what the activities were and that they were completed. If you would rather not follow the learning standards, you can sign a waiver that releases Crossroads from responsibility of that subject. We will still provide the curriculum and the tuition will not change.
Can I get help with paying for tuition?
Yes, scholarship funding is available through the Utah Fits All Scholarship to assist with tuition costs. Details are available at schools.utah.gov/utahfitsallscholarship
Do current students and siblings get priority placement for the upcoming year?
Yes. Current students and their siblings will be given priority placement for the upcoming school year.
Is completion of Science and Social Studies assignments required?
Yes. The assignments must be completed and either returned, or a picture submitted, depending on the activity.
Is 2 hours long enough for Language Arts and Math?
We believe that it is optimal. We will take full advantage of all of our minutes. This is sometimes not possible in a larger class size. Many children struggle to focus for an entire school day. We plan to eliminate that and make full use of the entire block of time.
